In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with leaders, hiring managers, and external partners to build practical, scalable processes, improve the candidate and employee experience, and make sure delivery stays aligned to business needs. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and wants to make a visible impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of people programs that support business growth, with a focus on talent acquisition, early careers, and apprenticeships.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand hiring needs, turn demand into effective recruitment plans, and provide guidance that supports business priorities.
  • Establish and deliver an early careers recruitment program across the business, including apprenticeships, graduate hiring, and entry-level talent.
  • Manage the Apprenticeship Service account and ensure compliance with apprenticeship requirements and processes.
  • Support the implementation of new HR and applicant tracking system, including gathering requirements, coordinating with vendors, designing workflows, testing solutions, and supporting rollout.
  • Use hiring data, employee feedback, and people metrics to evaluate program effectiveness, track progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create clear communications, tools, and attraction campaigns that support an inclusive and high-quality experience for candidates, employees, and hiring managers.
  • Work collaboratively across teams to make sure recruitment activity runs smoothly, supports business priorities, and is backed by strong onboarding and effective processes.
  • Develop and deliver direct sourcing strategies across LinkedIn, job boards, employee referrals, and other relevant channels.
  • Build strong talent pipelines to support current and future hiring needs.
  • Develop onboarding process and program that creates a positive and professional experience from recruitment through to joining.
  • Manage agency relationships and recruitment spend effectively.
  • Promote inclusive and fair hiring practices across the business.
  • Support ad hoc projects, reporting, and broader business initiatives as needed.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of professional experience designing and delivering HR or talent programs, ideally across talent acquisition, early careers, or apprenticeships.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end recruitment, workforce planning, and direct sourcing across a range of attraction channels.
  • 5+ years of experience managing or supporting apprenticeship programs, including design, compliance, learner support, and provider engagement.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with business leaders and external partners, and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Good knowledge of HR and applicant tracking systems, with experience supporting process improvement, implementation, or optimization.
  • Comfortable using data and people metrics to assess performance, identify trends, and support decision-making.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to create clear materials, manage competing priorities, and deliver a high-quality stakeholder experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion, compliance, and continuous improvement, with the ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment.
