About the role

SentiLink provides innovative identity and risk solutions, empowering institutions and individuals to transaction with confidence. We’re building the future of identity verification in the United States replacing a clunky, ineffective, and expensive status quo with solutions that are 10x faster, smarter, and more accurate.

We’ve seen tremendous traction and are growing extremely quickly. Our real-time APIs have helped verify hundreds of millions of identities, starting with financial services and rapidly expanding into new markets. SentiLink is backed by world-class investors including Craft Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, NYCA, and Max Levchin.

We have also been named a 2026 FICO Industry Vanguard Decision Award Winner. Last but not least, we’ve even made history - we were the first company to go live with the eCBSV and testified before the United States House of Representatives on the future of identity.

SentiLink supports a variety of ways to work, ranging from fully remote to in-office. We operate as a digital-first company with strong collaboration across the U.S. and India. We maintain physical offices in Austin, San Francisco, New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Chicago in the U.S., and in Gurugram (Delhi) and Bengaluru in India. If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.

Role:

SentiLink is hiring a Chief of Staff to the CTO to drive execution, operational rigor, and accountability across the Engineering and Data Science organizations.

You will embed deeply in the day-to-day mechanics of the technology team, ensuring priorities are clear, projects ship on time, and the organization scales with discipline. You will act as an extension of the CTO — translating strategy into execution, tracking progress relentlessly, and removing bottlenecks before they slow the team down.

If you enjoy building systems, driving follow-through, and turning ambiguity into structured action, this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive Execution and Operational Excellence

    • Translate the CTO’s priorities into clear, trackable initiatives.

    • Ensure key projects across Data Science and Engineering are progressing on time and aligned with company objectives.

    • Establish and manage operational cadences, including leadership meetings, roadmap reviews, KPI tracking, board and executive presentations.

    • Identify gaps, bottlenecks, and risks early — and proactively drive resolution.

    • Improve processes to increase organizational clarity, accountability, and velocity.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment & Follow-Through

    • Ensure Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Business teams are aligned on priorities and tradeoffs.

    • Drive alignment on technical priorities, hiring plans, and strategic initiatives.

    • Track cross-functional dependencies and prevent misalignment.

    • Ensure effective follow-up and accountability from cross-functional meetings.

  • Provide Strategic & Analytical Support

    • Synthesize inputs from across teams to support technical and strategic decision-making.

    • Develop data-driven insights to inform roadmap, investment, and resource allocation decisions.

    • Prepare high-quality executive materials for leadership discussions and board meetings.

    • Support long-term planning for the technology organization, including org design and capacity planning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field

  • 5+ years in Engineering, Technical Program Management, Product, or similar execution-heavy roles

  • Experience in high-growth startup environments

  • Strong technical fluency — able to engage deeply with engineers and data scientists

  • Proven track record of driving cross-functional initiatives from idea to execution

  • High ownership and bias for action

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or scaling engineering operating processes preferred

  • Familiarity with SaaS and/or financial services products preferred

  • Background in consulting or strategy preferred

  • Based in Pacific time or willing to work Pacific time hours preferred

  • Located in the San Francisco Bay Area with a preference for in-office work preferred

Compensation:

$180,000/year - $230,000/year + equity + benefits
